What is the cost of Satyanarayan Puja in Guwahati?
Satyanarayan Puja in Guwahati starts from about ₹4,100 for one Pandit and around 2 to 3 hours. The final dakshina depends on the number of Pandits, the chant count, and travel within Guwahati. When is Satyanarayan Katha done?
Purnima, the full moon day, is the most popular day each month, and Ekadashi and Sankranti are also common. Families also hold it after a happy event such as griha pravesh, a wedding, a birthday, a new job, a new vehicle or a shop opening, or simply to give thanks. The Pandit can suggest a muhurat.
Can you arrange a Pandit who reads Satyanarayan Katha in Hindi in Delhi NCR, Hyderabad or Pune?
Yes. We arrange Hindi speaking Pandits who follow the North Indian vidhi and read all five adhyayas in Hindi. If your family prefers the Telugu Satyanarayana Vratham or Kannada Satyanarayana Pooje, we arrange that instead.
What happens in the five adhyayas of Satyanarayan Katha?
The first chapter tells how Narad asked Lord Vishnu for a simple way to end suffering; the second, the story of a poor Brahmin and a woodcutter; the third, King Ulkamukh and the merchant Sadhu Vaishya; the fourth, what befell the merchant when he forgot his vow; and the fifth, King Tungadhwaj, who disregarded the prasad. Each ends with the importance of keeping one's word to the Lord.
