Rudrabhishek is the abhishek, or ritual bathing, of the Shivling performed while chanting the Rudrashtadhyayi (commonly called Rudri) from the Shukla Yajurveda, or the Sri Rudram (Namakam Chamakam) in South Indian traditions. Offerings such as Gangajal, milk, curd, ghee, honey, sugarcane juice and panchamrit are poured over the Shivling in a continuous stream, followed by bel patra, flowers and bhasma.
Rudrabhishek takes about 2 to 3 hours. We'll suggest a muhurat and a start time that works for your family's time zone.
