Pandit in Totu, Shimla

Shimla's temples sit on its ridges and hills, from the Jakhu Mandir of Hanuman above the Ridge to Tara Devi, Kali Bari and the Sankat Mochan Mandir. Navratri at Tara Devi and Sankat Mochan draws large numbers, and village families in the surrounding hills keep the Sair festival and devta traditions.

Pandits in Shimla serve government and hotel staff from across Himachal and Punjab as well as long settled hill families. Havan, Satyanarayan Katha and weddings are the steady work, and the hilly terrain means homes are often reached on foot, so timing and samagri planning matter.
