Overview
Tarpan for families in Adugodi
Tarpan means ‘to satisfy’ or ‘to offer contentment’. In this rite, the performer offers water mixed with black sesame, holding kusha grass, while remembering departed family members by name. It is one of the simplest ancestral rites, yet traditionally regarded as deeply meaningful.
Adugodi lies on Hosur Road between Lakkasandra, Wilson Garden and Koramangala, with the Nexus mall at its Koramangala end. The area includes the large police quarters, old houses, small apartment blocks and a growing number of offices.
