What is Tarpan?
The simple, holy offering of water with sesame and kusha to the ancestors, traditionally performed in the Ganga at Kashi during Pitru Paksha and on Amavasya.
It is simple enough to do at home in an apartment. A Pandit can teach the karta the correct order, perform it with the family, or guide a group tarpana for several families.
