Overview
Durga Saptashati Path for families in West Marredpally
Durga Saptashati, also called the Devi Mahatmya or Chandi Path, is a holy text of 700 verses (sapta-shati) in 13 chapters, forming part of the Markandeya Purana. It narrates the Goddess's victories over Madhu-Kaitabha, Mahishasura and Shumbha-Nishumbha, and is one of the most revered texts of Shakta worship.
West Marredpally lies between the Secunderabad clock tower, Patny, East Marredpally and the Kendriya Vidyalaya side. It is one of the quieter Secunderabad neighbourhoods, with older bungalows, tree lined roads and well kept apartment buildings.
