Overview
Durga Saptashati Path for families in Jubilee Hills
Durga Saptashati, also called the Devi Mahatmya or Chandi Path, is a holy text of 700 verses (sapta-shati) in 13 chapters, forming part of the Markandeya Purana. It narrates the Goddess's victories over Madhu-Kaitabha, Mahishasura and Shumbha-Nishumbha, and is one of the most revered texts of Shakta worship.
Jubilee Hills lies to the west of Banjara Hills and is known for its large bungalows, gated homes, film-industry connections and busy commercial stretch along Road No. 36. KBR National Park borders the area, giving parts of it a green, quiet character.

Planning Your Puja in Jubilee Hills
Roads near the Peddamma Temple get very crowded during Bonalu and Dasara; plan travel times with extra margin.
Road No. 36 and Road No. 45 can be slow in the evenings, morning pujas are usually smoother.
Security at gated homes may need the Pandit's name and vehicle number in advance.
Lawns and courtyards suit a homam; keep a bucket of water or sand nearby as a simple fire precaution.
Decide between a single path, daily paths or a larger recitation.
Keep red flowers, kumkum and prasad ready.
