Overview
Hartalika Teej Puja for families in Thalaghattapura
Hartalika Teej falls on Bhadrapada Shukla Tritiya and is observed widely in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. It remembers Goddess Parvati's tapasya to win Lord Shiva as her husband, and the story of her companions who took her to the forest, which gives the vrat its name.
Thalaghattapura lies on Kanakapura Road beyond Konanakunte and Vajarahalli, with its own Green Line metro station. The road continues south towards the Art of Living international centre and the Kanakapura countryside.
