What is Hartalika Teej Puja?
Worship of Shiva and Parvati on Bhadrapada Shukla Tritiya, kept as a nirjala vrat by married women and unmarried girls, with the night long puja of clay idols.
In Bangalore the same day is Gowri Habba, when Kannada women worship Swarna Gowri the day before Ganesha Chaturthi. Both honour Parvati on the same tithi, but the vidhi, katha and customs differ, so the Pandit should know which one you keep.
