Overview
Durga Saptashati Path for families in Sarjapur
Durga Saptashati, also called the Devi Mahatmya or Chandi Path, is a holy text of 700 verses (sapta-shati) in 13 chapters, forming part of the Markandeya Purana. It narrates the Goddess's victories over Madhu-Kaitabha, Mahishasura and Shumbha-Nishumbha, and is one of the most revered texts of Shakta worship.
Sarjapur is a town in Anekal taluk where Sarjapur Road finally ends, well beyond the tech parks of Doddakannelli and Kodathi. The old town keeps its market street and village temples, while the roads leading out towards Dommasandra, Attibele and Hosur are lined with villa communities and plotted layouts.

Is the path read in Sanskrit? Will the meaning be explained?
The path is recited in the original Sanskrit, since correct pronunciation is part of the tradition. If you would like, the Pandit can explain the sankalp and the story of each charitra in Hindi, or in Telugu or Kannada where that is your family's language.
