Overview
Durga Saptashati Path for families in Jagathgirigutta
Durga Saptashati, also called the Devi Mahatmya or Chandi Path, is a holy text of 700 verses (sapta-shati) in 13 chapters, forming part of the Markandeya Purana. It narrates the Goddess's victories over Madhu-Kaitabha, Mahishasura and Shumbha-Nishumbha, and is one of the most revered texts of Shakta worship.
Jagathgirigutta, named after the rocky hillock (gutta) at its centre, lies between Kukatpally, Balanagar, Jeedimetla and Gajularamaram. It grew alongside the industrial estates of Balanagar and Jeedimetla, and many of its residents work in the factories and workshops nearby.

Yes. Share the clubhouse details and number of attendees and we will plan the Pandits and timing.

Is the path read in Sanskrit? Will the meaning be explained?
The path is recited in the original Sanskrit, since correct pronunciation is part of the tradition. If you would like, the Pandit can explain the sankalp and the story of each charitra in Hindi, or in Telugu or Kannada where that is your family's language.
