Navagraha Puja in Guwahati: Local Traditions
Guwahati sits beside the Brahmaputra below Nilachal hill, home to Kamakhya, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas. Ambubachi Mela draws huge crowds of pilgrims and sadhus, and Durga Puja is celebrated across the city.
Assamese households blend Vedic ritual with the Vaishnava tradition of Srimanta Sankaradeva, so Naam Kirtan and Satyanarayan Puja are both common. As the gateway to the Northeast, the city also has large Bengali, Marwari and Hindi speaking populations.

Navagraha Puja in Guwahati: FAQs
If yours is not here, ask it. A real person answers every message on WhatsApp.
How do I book a Pandit for Navagraha Puja in Guwahati?
Tap Book on this page or message us on WhatsApp with the date, your address in Guwahati and your family tradition. We confirm a Pandit, the vidhi and the dakshina before you book. Samagri is not included in the dakshina; it is at an additional cost, agreed after discussion with Pandit ji. There is no payment to enquire.
What is the cost of Navagraha Puja in Guwahati?
Navagraha Puja in Guwahati starts from about ₹6,100 for one Pandit and around 2 to 3 hours for the puja; 3 to 5 hours with navagraha homam; multi-day options with individual graha jaap. The final dakshina depends on the number of Pandits, the chant count, and travel within Guwahati. Samagri is not included in the dakshina; it is at an additional cost, agreed after discussion with Pandit ji. We share an exact quote on WhatsApp.
Can I get a Hindi speaking Pandit for Navagraha Puja in Guwahati?
Yes. Pandits in Guwahati speak Assamese, Hindi and Bengali. Tell us the language you want the puja explained in and whether you follow North Indian or local vidhi, and we match the Pandit.
Do you send Pandits to Fancy Bazar, Paltan Bazar, Pan Bazar and Uzan Bazar?
Yes. Pandits come to homes across Guwahati, including Fancy Bazar, Paltan Bazar, Pan Bazar, Uzan Bazar, Dispur and Ganeshguri, and nearby towns on request. Share your address and we confirm travel.

Yes. We can stream the puja live on video, or arrange a fully online Navagraha Puja with sankalp in your family's name.
Do I need my kundali for Navagraha Puja?
No. Navagraha Puja can be performed with just your name and gotra. If you share birth details, the Pandit can include them in the sankalp, and if you want to understand your chart first, a separate kundali consultation can be arranged.
What is the difference between Navagraha Puja and Navagraha Homam?
Navagraha Puja centres on worship and mantras for the nine grahas. A homam adds a fire ritual with offerings for each graha. Many families combine both; the Pandit can suggest what suits your intention.
How much does Navagraha Puja cost?
It depends on the vidhi, whether a homam or jaap is included, the number of Pandits and samagri. Share your details on WhatsApp and we will get you a quote.
