What is Pind Daan?
A holy rite in which families offer pindas to honour departed loved ones and ancestors, performed with care by experienced Pandits in Kashi, by the Ganga.
Families come for Pind Daan during Pitru Paksha, in the Magh month, on a death anniversary or as part of the rites after a loss. A Pandit guides the sankalp, the pinda offerings and tarpan, and helps with the boat, timing and what to bring.
