What is Mundan Sanskar?
The traditional first haircut ceremony for a child, performed with Vedic prayers, at home or on the banks of the Ganga in Varanasi.
At Prayag, Mundan is also customary for adults before offering Pind Daan for a parent. A Pandit guides the sankalp and prayers while a barber performs the shave.
