- 1Consultation. The Pandit understands the family’s situation and tradition, and explains whether and how Tripindi Shraddha is usually performed.
- 2Purification and Sankalp. The performer purifies and takes a sankalp with the family’s names and gotra.
- 3Ganesh and Vishnu Puja. Prayers are offered to Lord Ganesha and Lord Vishnu at the start of the rite.
