- 1Purification and Ganesh puja. Achaman, pavitrikaran and Ganesh puja open the ritual.
- 2Sankalp. The Pandit takes a sankalp with your name, gotra, birth details if shared, and intention.
- 3Kalash and Navagraha invocation. A kalash is established and the Navagraha invoked, with Chandra installed on white cloth.
