Why Families Choose Gurugram for Vivah Sanskar (Hindu Wedding Ceremony)

Gurugram is one of the region's busiest wedding destinations, with farmhouses and banquet venues along the Sohna Road, Gwal Pahari, MG Road and NH 48, and resort weddings on the city's edges. Many couples are from different states, so the Pandit often combines customs from both families.

Night pheras are common for North Indian weddings here, while some families prefer a day wedding. The Pandit adjusts the timeline to the muhurat and the venue's schedule.

  • Traffic on NH 48 and Sohna Road on wedding nights is heavy; plan arrival times.
  • Share the baraat arrival time so the pheras start close to the muhurat.
  • If both families follow different customs, discuss the order of rituals in advance.
