Why Families Choose Delhi for Karva Chauth Puja
Karva Chauth is one of the most loved days in Delhi's Punjabi and North Indian homes. Markets in Lajpat Nagar, Karol Bagh and Kamla Nagar fill with mehendi stalls the day before, and in the evening women gather in groups in society parks and terraces for the katha, passing the thalis in a circle as the songs are sung.
Customs vary: Punjabi families often do the thali feri with the song, while UP and Rajasthani families may tell the katha with a different form and worship Chauth Mata. The Pandit can follow your family's way of doing it.
