- 1Ganesh Pujan and sankalp. The puja begins with Ganesh Pujan and a sankalp in the family's name, gotra and intention.
- 2Kalash sthapana and avahan. A kalash is established and Lord Narasimha, with Lakshmi, is invoked into the idol or image.
