    Overview

    What is Sudarshan Homam?

Sudarshan Homam is a fire ritual dedicated to Sudarshan, the divine discus of Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped as a deity in his own right in many Vaishnava traditions. Offerings are made into the holy fire while the Sudarshan mantra and related hymns are chanted.

Families commonly perform it when they wish to pray for protection of the home and family, after a period of difficulty, or as part of a housewarming or other significant occasion.

The homam can be done at home, at a chosen venue or with an online sankalp while the family watches by video.
