What is Vivah Badha Nivaran Puja?
Vivah Badha Nivaran Puja is a traditional puja performed when a family feels that marriage plans for a son or daughter are facing delays or repeated obstacles. It usually centres on worship of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva, the ideal divine couple, along with prayers to the Navagrahas, and sometimes includes Katyayani or Gauri Puja depending on the family’s tradition.
The puja is not a guarantee of any outcome, and it is not meant to create worry. Many families simply find it a meaningful way to pause, pray together and approach the search for a life partner with patience and a positive frame of mind.
The Pandit will usually look at the individual’s details, if the family wishes, and suggest an appropriate vidhi. It can be performed at home in Varanasi, at a suitable temple setting, or on your behalf with an online sankalp.

Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva are worshipped with flowers, offerings and mantras, following the family’s custom.

Where included, a short havan is performed with offerings into the holy fire.
