Karmanghat is a closely built residential locality in the south of Hyderabad, on the road towards Champapet and Santosh Nagar. Independent houses, small apartment blocks and narrow lanes fill the area, and many of the families here have lived in the same street for two or three generations.
The Karmanghat Hanuman temple is the best-known landmark of the neighbourhood and draws large crowds on Saturdays and during Hanuman Jayanti. Its presence shapes much of the devotional life of the surrounding streets.
