Suchitra takes its name from the busy junction on the Medchal road where the route towards Kompally and Jeedimetla meets it. Around the crossing are older colonies of independent houses, and behind them a growing number of gated projects and apartment towers handed over in recent years.
The area draws families who work across north Hyderabad and the IT corridor but want more space than the inner city offers. Many are first time homeowners, and the neighbourhood has the busy, half finished feel of a place still filling up.
