Vastu Shanti Puja vidhi, step by step

1. 1Sankalp. The Pandit takes the sankalp in the name of the owner or head of the family, with names, gotra, address and intention.
2. 2Ganesh puja and Kalash sthapana. Lord Ganesha is worshipped and a kalash is established to invoke holy waters and deities.
3. 3Navagraha and Shodash Matrika puja. The nine planetary deities and the mother goddesses are worshipped as per the vidhi followed.
4. 4Vastu mandala puja. A Vastu mandala is drawn or placed, and Vastu Purusha along with the devatas of its squares and the directions are worshipped with offerings.
5. 5Vastu havan. A havan is performed with Vastu mantras, Navagraha ahutis and ghee, often with specific samidha (wood).
6. 6Balidan offerings and yantra sthapana. Symbolic offerings (such as grains and sweets) are made to the directional deities; a Vastu yantra may be installed if the family wishes.
7. 7Purnahuti and aarti. The havan concludes with purnahuti, followed by aarti, sprinkling of sanctified water through the space and prasad.
