    What is Lakshmi Kubera Homam?

    Lakshmi Kubera Homam is a fire ritual that honours Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of prosperity, together with Lord Kubera, revered as the treasurer of the gods. Offerings such as ghee, lotus seeds, sweets and flowers are made into the fire while Lakshmi and Kubera mantras are chanted.

    It is popular with families and business owners at the start of a financial year, before opening a new shop or office, on Dhanteras and Diwali, or on Fridays associated with Lakshmi worship.

    The homam can be performed at home, at your business premises or with an online sankalp while you join by video.

    Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped for prosperity in its broad sense, wealth, wellbeing and harmony in the home. Lord Kubera is traditionally associated with guarding and sustaining wealth.

    Worshipping them together through fire is regarded as a way of seeking both the arrival and the stability of prosperity, which is why many business families hold this homam in special regard.
