What is Hanuman Puja?
Worship of Lord Hanuman, symbol of devotion, strength and courage, traditionally performed on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Hanuman Jayanti.
The pooje usually includes Anjaneya ashtottara, Hanuman Chalisa or a portion of Sundara Kanda, and offerings such as vada maale, betel leaves and butter. North Indian families may want Hanuman Pujan with sindoor chola and a Hindi aarti instead.
