What is Gand Mool Shanti Puja?
A shanti puja traditionally performed for a child born in one of the six Gand Mool nakshatras, usually on the 27th day after birth.
The shanti is traditionally done when the same nakshatra returns, about 27 days after birth, with Ganapathi pooje, worship of the nakshatra devata, Navagraha pooje, japa and a homa. The Pandit will look at the birth details and confirm whether it is customary in your family.
