What is Govardhan Puja?
Worship of Lord Krishna and Govardhan Parvat on the day after Diwali, with a hill of cow dung or food and the Annakut offering of many dishes.
In Bangalore the day is also Bali Padyami, when Kannada families honour King Bali and many worship cows. A Pandit can lead a North Indian or Gujarati Govardhan Puja with Annakut, or combine it with the Kannada customs of the day.
