What is Sundarkand Path?
Devotional recitation of Sundarkand from Goswami Tulsidas's Ramcharitmanas, celebrating Hanuman's journey to Lanka, often sung with family on Tuesdays.
The Pandit begins with Ganesh and Hanuman vandana and the Hanuman Chalisa, leads the path in the group style most families grew up with, and ends with aarti. Some South Indian families instead ask for the Sanskrit Sundara Kanda of the Valmiki Ramayana.
